Valve and HTC's new VR headset will soon be in dev hands.
Valve has just announced, via the Steam Community site, that developers can sign up to receive the HTC Vive Developer Edition. All you have to do is tell Valve about your team and your project.
"Our goal is to support as many VR content creators as possible and, to that end, we will be distributing dev kits continually, with new units going out every couple weeks. However, supplies may be limited."'
The headset is not yet for sale, but Valve thinks it should hit the market later this year, so making sure there's content being worked on for it makes perfect sense.
The HTC Vive debuted at the recent Mobile World Congress, and by all reports it's the best VR solution yet. Maybe we can come up with a PCPP project...
