For years, we've been trying to figure out where Scott Forstall, Apple's former senior vice-president of iOS, had gone since leaving the company in 2012. Admittedly, we didn't expect the answer to be Broadway.
You remember Forstall. He was Apple co-founder Steve Jobs's protégé, largely responsible for the look and feel of iOS from 2007 until 2012. His love of skeuomorphism was unbridled, and for a time, it looked like he could be a candidate for CEO .
But Forstall had problems working well with others, and after a series of public missteps (namely Apple Maps), Forstall was fired in late 2012.

Since his departure more than two-and-a-half years ago, we've been trying to figure out where the talented — if perhaps difficult — executive has gone.
Well, on Friday, we got a few clues. First, the Sony leaks (a.k.a. the gift that keep on giving) suggest that Forstall is acting as some sort of advisor to Snapchat.
That makes sense, but the bigger news appears to come from Forstall's Twitter account. It seems the former Apple executive is now a Broadway producer.
According to IBDB , the Internet Broadway Database, Forstall and his wife Molly are both producers of the Broadway show Fun Home. The musical is currently in previews, and opens at New York City theater Circle in the Square on April 19.
Fun Home already received glowing reviews during its time at the Public Theater, and is a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.
As anyone who watched Smash can attest, being a producer on Broadway is a lot like running a software development and interface team. Okay, maybe not (though both places are filled with offices full of Macintosh computers and iOS devices).
We don't quite get the Broadway thing, but as an investment, it looks like Fun Home will be a good one.
